Crimini Mushroom
Crimini Mushrooms are related to White Button Mushrooms and Portabella Mushrooms. They are a moderately matured White Button but younger than Portabella mushrooms. Crimini has a light tan to rich brown cap and a firm texture.
Crimini Mushrooms are available year-round. Their hearty full-bodied taste makes them an excellent addition to beef, wild game and vegetable dishes. They are best when broiled but can be cooked in any way including in the microwave.
